tiger woods?

What do you think?
More ways than one?
You can't even walk in Graidy's room,
because there are too many toys.
But there 2 toys that G has actually stuck with!
1. Drum Sticks (Guitar Hero)
2. Golf Clubs ($5 at Walmart)
These 2 things he always has in tow even if he is in his birthday suit.

what did i do today?

What Did I Do Today?

Today I left some dishes dirty
The bed got made around 3:30
The diapers soaked a little longer,
The odor grew a little stronger.
The crumbs I spilled the day before
Are staring at me from the floor.
The fingerprints there on the wall
will likely be there still next fall.
The dirty streaks on those windowpanes
will still be there next time it rains.
Shame on you, you sit and say,
Just what did you do today?
I held a baby till he slept,
I held a toddler while he wept.
I played a game of hide and seek,
I squeezed a toy so it would squeak.
I pulled a wagon, sang a song,
Taught a child right from wrong.
What did I do this whole day through?
Not much that shows, I guess that's true.
Unless you think that what I've done
Might be important to someone
with dark brown eyes and soft brown hair.
If that is true... I've done my share.

Cute little poem that made me feel a little bit better about myself.

natale hilare et annum faustum

Merry Christmas
Christmas was so weird this year, it just didn't feel like Christmas at all. Graidy was almost up to par but didn't care for any of his gifts. I really just think people this year don't have the money they usually do and can't do what they want to do for Christmas. This was the case for me, I still felt like we spent a butt load, but I didn't get as creative with my gifts as I usually do. Maybe I should chalk this up to just be a "I'm a mom now and I don't have time for that craft crap!" I thought this winter I would have a lot more time to do school work, catch up on Graiden's scrap book, get my house clean, and maybe just maybe read a book. My best friend Jenalee said it best "I think timing is slowly going faster as the days go by."

Okay okay I'll get off of my soap box and talk about the great things on Christmas! We all of course got clothes, shoes, jammies, toys, etc. We put a cap on Christmas this year as usual, but of course that cap got bigger and bigger ("How in the hell did you find an XBOX for under $15?" name that movie!), we usually say 1/2 we get to pick out ourselves and the other 1/2 is a surprise! All of Graid's stuff was a surprise (surprise surprise) , but he did get some handmade stuff from mom, and a new heavy metal shop T from dad, and our tradition of getting a book with a stuffed character to match this year it was "If You Give a Moose a Muffin". Brett got me my much needed external hard drive (wahoo!) and a $10 bag of my favorite candies from Mrs. Cavanaughs, and I got him a Guitar (surprise story below), then of course we made the rounds. I love my family so much, even though I think you should get along and laugh every day of the year, it just doesn't work out that way, but it is amazing how on Christmas how the light in everyone just comes out, and we can all love and be loved. I just love my little family I don't know what I would do with out my boys, I've never felt so much love...
Brett had no clue what was in this "damn" box.He almost shed a tear (almost).Mi Familia& A Happy New Year...
For New Years this year we went up to Salt Lake City to EVE 2010! It was a blast, we rented a hotel room with my cousin Samantha her boyfriend Jared, and my sister Chelsey and her boyfriend Chad. It was way cool there were a bunch of different events all around down town Salt Lake, and we just jumped on Trax and went to all of them. One of the places they had a battle of the bands which was a bunch of tribute bands, our favorite was the KISS tribute band, we even got our pictures taken with "Paul", "Peter", "Ace" and "Gene"!
Jared and Samantha
Chelsey and Chad
2010 baby and never looking back! 2009 was bittersweet a lot happened some good some bad, this is the first year that I've felt really excited to start over, get a fresh start.

10 things I want to accomplish in 2010:
Buy a house.
Finish school.
Finish scrapbooks.
Loose weight and exercise more.
Take a vacation.
Read more books.
Finish craft projects.
Learn more on the guitar.
Enjoy life.
Maybe, just maybe add to the farm.
(maybe we'll get a pouch, or maybe I'll get an even bigger pouch.)

my heart grew 3 sizes today.

This is how I've been feeling this whole week...

"Every Who down in Whoville liked Christmas a lot, but the Grinch, who lived just north of Whoville - did not. The Grinch hated Christmas - the whole Christmas season. Now, please don't ask why; no one quite knows the reason. It could be, perhaps, that his shoes were too tight. Or it could be that his head wasn't screwed on just right. But I think that the most likely reason of all may have been that his heart was two sizes too small." - How The Grinch Stole Christmas

And now if you don't know why just read my previous post. Today has been such a great Christmas Eve Graidy is finally acting like our normal Little Monster and is back to terrorizing our small house, I never thought this would be so exciting! I got to go to lunch and shopping with my little sister Chelsey (she's been away for college in Virgina). I've missed her so much and was just happy to get out of our cave! Tonight we are going to watch all of the great Christmas movies especially my 2 favorites How The Grinch Stole Christmas and A Christmas Story. Then we will open our Christmas Eve present (Jammies who would have guessed, right?).

Cute story: So I was at Target last week scooping out all of the Christmas decor that I will be buying the day after Christmas when everything is 75% off, when I saw a cute little snow globe that had a Santa Clause on it.

K: Graidy this is Santa.
G: Santa? (in a sweet questioning voice)
.

Then as we were strollin along he saw another snow globe which did not have a Santa on it.

G: Santa Santa Santa! (In his screaming voice).
K: Thats right Gray!

So now my very smart 13 month old thinks snow globes are Santa. Smart little bugger.

I guess I won't be canceling Christmas after all...

BAH HUMBUG!

So, we had a lovely weekend with my dad. He lives in Timberlakes Estates up above Heber City. His house is small and kind of under construction and since we have a humongous family they rented an additional cabin up there for Christmas this year. Now when I say humongous I mean humongous! Lets count, Bart, Jen, Kristopher, Natalie, Hannah, Trevor, Gabrielle, Tyler, Tina, Taylee, Tianna, Trieghton, Bronze, Tiffany, Devon, Ryan, Kelsie, Keegan, Brett, Kiley, Graiden, Chelsey, Aubrey, Taylor, Uncle Mark, Justin, Andrea, Jaxon, Alivia, Journi, Tanner, and Julie, bringing the grand total to 33 and some didn't make it, did I mention that this is my imediate brothers and sisters and their kids with an exception of a cousin here and there? Oh and a few of my dad's friends showed up! Thank heavens my dad and step mom are smart enough to do Christmas early every year so that we don't have to travel so much! It was a blast we played in the snow, watched movies, relaxed, played games, ate ate ate (its the Papworth way), the kids put on a play (Grandma Jen bought a stage and microphone set), and had this awesome remote control train set that the babies could ride! One of the nights all of the kids got to open Christmas jammies, and the final night they all got a toy Graidy got an awesome musical toy, he loves music, he carries around drum sticks daily and sings! He loved the snowmobiles and he even fell asleep! Over all a fun filed weekend! Thanks everyone for making it special especially the "G.S.D."! video

So now to the reasoning of my caption, while we were up there Graiden got sick :( it's been terrible! We went to see our pediatrician today because its been a good solid 4 days of the flu, our doctor said that if he got any worse by 4:30 today we'd have to admit him to get some fluids going, we've been praying and luckily the little guy kind of turned around after the doctors visit. He is still upset and acts as if he is exhausted and hangs on our every move, but no pukey pukey in 8 hours! Wahoo! So hopefully we are out of the woods so to speak. Otherwise call me Mr. Scrooge and I'm canceling Christmas for the Webster Farm until conditions improve! My poor little guy... I hope he feels well enough to open some presents on Christmas.

The little puke...

ahoy matey!

GRAIDEN IS ONE!
(November 17, 2009) So this whole Graidy turning 1 thing, is a little emotional for me, can I use that as an excuse to blog about it a month late? I just can't believe how fast it all went, I really feel like I worked way to much and I wish I could have had more time with him. Hopefully soon I can be a stay home mommy, but for now the Webster Farm will just keep on truckin! Graidy's Birthday was an amazing day, Brett and I just loved the little guy all day.
Then the party started! We had his party at Pirate Island Pizza in Orem. I have to say I'm quite proud of my birthday planning abilities I worked really hard... I made the invites with the help of my friend Jenalee, an awesome poster, really cute "thank-you" cards, pretty cool party favors, his pirate cake with fondant icing (Brett helped, but shhh! he didn't want me to tell anyone he did something girly), and I of course was the clothing stylist! G was such a trooper, the party started right around his nap time and he was more than enthused the entire party. It was a blast and a HUGE turn out! He got so many toys everyone kept saying save them and re-wrap them for Christmas! I'm not one to disregard good advice so I did what I was told, half of them are re-wrapped and under our Christmas tree as we speak. Thank you to all our amazing family and friends you really made the day special! My friend Melissa is a life saver, she took so many amazing pictures of the special day and so I was able to enjoy the party, here are some of them...
